Since 2010, Coffee Lab (or the “Lab”) has been north Evanston’s popular college spot,no frills, independent and locally owned specialty coffee shop, study space and art space, especially for university students, faculty, staff, and local artists.
Just a short walk away from Northwestern University’s campus, our “Study Spot” fosters a welcoming environment for students and coffee lovers alike, where they are encouraged to sit down and sip on their favorite drinks, munch on our home made scones, while studying or socializing.
We maintain a very traditional espresso bar and have our fresh specialty coffee beans roasted weekly by a small, independent coffee roaster located in Chicago, IL.
We proudly serve a variety of breads and pastries influenced by American, European, and Asian pastry traditions made by local bakers, as well as in house baked treats like our butter mochi cakes, scones, and Filipino meals made to order.
